My Momma loves all things having to do with the color red, Starbucks, and Christmas. Lucky for her she was born in the month of December! We had the family up to Memphis for a Christmas weekend and celebrated her birthday a few days early.
Knowing my mother so very well, I incorporated all her favorite things into a her birthday bash.
I already had most of the items for the tablescape. I wrapped a ribbon on the chargers to add a bit more festivity – that’s the extent of my craftiness. Simple red tulips, another one of mom’s favorites, graced the middle of the table. To add a little bit of sentiment, I used my Great Grandmothers bubble glass plates. Mixing old and new pieces can make any table unique- a table you won’t find on Pinterest!
You may have caught on that my go to bakery for celebrations here in Memphis is Muddy’s Bake Shop and my favorite cookies come from The Whimsy Cookie Company. Keeping to the theme, I ordered a “Santa Baby” cake and Starbucks cookies. And of course, we had to have coffee ice cream to go with the cookies. It was so fun to put together a simple celebration for my special Momma. Happy Birthday, Momma dearest.
