When we moved to Memphis, we decided to buy a house. Some may disagree with this bold purchase. However, after much research into whether or not we should buy or rent, we decided buying was the best financial decision for us. I flew to Memphis from California, met my mom, and went house hunting for 2 days. It was like House Hunters Extreme. We had the most amazing husband and wife realtor team who took us under their wings and made sure we got the best house for the best deal. Our realtors were truly a Godsend.

It is crazy to think that on my very first trip to Memphis we put an offer on a home in only two days without my husband even seeing it! I definitely don’t recommend purchasing a home this quickly, but thankfully it worked in our favor! I fell in love with our 1940’s home online and my heart skipped a beat when I saw it in real life. This would be the perfect first house to own. Though another offer had already been placed, I wrote the owner a sappy letter telling her why this house would be the perfect first home for us.
