Growing up, my Mom always made life events extra special. She always planned a unique way to celebrate life’s big moments. I grew up helping her and especially enjoyed planning my own birthdays. I usually got to pick out the theme, colors, napkins, and cake. The “theme” of the party usually revolved around what I was into that year- gymnastics, swimming, horses, and makeup to name a few. I remember enjoying the planning and decorating process and always felt extra loved when sharing these celebrations with my Mom.
Even today, I love making people feel special by creating a beautiful atmosphere in which to celebrate life’s special occasions. You don’t have to be rich, famous, or have a fancy house in which to host a dinner party, birthday, or Thanksgiving! It’s the simple touches that come from the heart that make the biggest impact. Hopefully, sharing some of my celebrations will encourage you to do the same for those you love and create a memory that lasts a lifetime.
